dunno how true it is, but taste test have been compared to the original and it is finger lickin good!
KFC's 11 Herbs and Spices Secret Recipe
2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 tbs Salt
1/2 tbs Thyme
1/2 tbs Basil
1/3 tbs Oregano
1 tbs Celery Salt
1 tbs Black Pepper
1 tbs Dried Mustard
4 tbs Paprika
2 tbs Garlic Salt
1 tbs Ground Ginger
3 tbs White Ground Pepper
1 cup Buttermilk
mix butter milk and egg in a bowl, set aside
thoroughly mix all dry ingredients
dip chicken in buttermilk mix, then into the flower herb mix, coat good and shake off excess.
deep or pan fry chicken at no hotter then 350*f for 15-18 mins, turning once. or bake in the oven @ 350 until done
or since most of us have pressure cookers, why not use them to pressure fry our chicken, not sure times, but i would go 10psi 325* 14 mins and release the pressure by removing the weight, so it vents quick. I used to work at KFC when i was a teenager, i remember the pressure cookers ran for 13.5 or 14 mins, but unsure what pressures they cooked at.
