I was looking for good archive-quality Kratom threads but only found handfuls of solid posts.  Here are some of those posts.  Please post good Kratom info here if you know where to find it.  :)  Especially if it has something to do with propagation.

I'm quite fond of kratom. The dual effect of stimulation and relaxation is wonderful. It feels like an opiate, but it doesn't -- it's certainly it's own experience. Kratom is really good for work. This is what farmers in thailand use it for. You can go for hours and hours and enjoy your work. I also find that I can read very quickly and for hours on end while on kratom. It is a very comfortable high. I can take it to be stimulated/talkative/in a good mood... or I can take a high dose later in the day to relax and nod out.

Moderation is always a virtue, as kratom is certainly addictive. The withdrawals are short-lasting enough to be worth all the the good times and effects provided, in my opinion. The withdrawal can be full of anxiety and sickness, but Phenibut is GREAT for the worst effects of kratom withdrawal. - I've had a bad poppy pod addiction in the past, from which I have been clean 6 months now. For me, kratom does not have the "soul robbing" or "soul emptiness" that comes with a real opiate addiction. In fact, I notice myself getting deeply involved in my spirituality and enjoying it while using kratom. Kratom really helps with focus. It is easy to lock in to something and not be distracted.

I, personally, prefer premium indonesian kratom. I get it very cheap, and the quality blows away more expensive stuff I've tried from other vendors. The Indo is very versatile too. It can be stimulating or relaxing, depending on the circumstance. Regardless, it is extremely comfortable - like getting a warm hug.... I've tried Maeng Da Thai kratom, and it is very stimulating. I liked it, but it is expensive. Bali kratom is great for late at night. It just makes me want to lay around and relax. I cannot see taking bali before work, as I often do with the Indo.

As far as using it, the kratom alkaloids are not entirely soluable in water from what I've read, so I never bother with tea. I just use the "toss and wash" method, whereby I take 7 to 14 grams of material in a cup, dump it all into my mouth, then fill my mouth with water, swish and swallow. I repeat the water until all the powder is down. I find this to be very effective and not wasteful. I do understand, though, that this may cause some people to gag. It's a learned thing.

Every individual will respond differently to each of all of the many different kratom strains that are out there, to each possible varying dosage.

They sure don't make it easy. You have to try what's going around, but if you learn the basic differences between red, white, and green vein it's MOSTLY easy to pick out, but then it depends on what the vendors are all selling at the time and how the harvest was.

I'd start with bali. Preferably red vein (more sedating.) Bali seems to work the best for the most people.

I just got some full-spectrum mult-kratom-type leaf blend enhanced with gold standard extract... My stomach is just about empty and I haven't used kratom for a good while so let's see how it is!

I've been dabbling in kratom once'ish a month or more since 2005 so do feel free to ask me about things.

For method of ingestion I'd recommend brewing a nasty tea (Ain't so bad according to me, though...) or "toss and wash" (which is my favorite, most effective method.)

Kratom cuttings can grow into plants, which can grow into trees. They are not easy to propagate by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, once you have a healthy plant in your possession, they tend to be hardy and grow very easily.
Taking cuttings from house plants is easy. Simply snip and place in a cup of water on the kitchen window sill will suffice. Roots will appear and then pot into soil. As kratom is a tree, this is not the case. Expensive airoponics are the best bet as these not only water (like the cup of water on the window sill), but they aerate the cutting promoting root growth and providing the plant cutting with air. Soil is made up of nutrients, loam, solids, water and air. Roots need air otherwise they rot. Kratom cuttings take such a long time to produce roots that simply placing them in water (with no air) with suffocate the plant. It will cease taking in water and quickly die, leaving you scratching your head wondering "where did I go wrong".
Common mistakes when taking kratom cuttings is to scrape the stem to remove the hard material. The kratom cutting will not root if you scrape away the outside of the stem. The correct way to take a kratom cutting is to use a sharp clean knife and cut away about 5-6 inches of branch (without bark). New growth up to around 15 inches is bark free so don't worry about the bark factor too much. The stem should be dipped into rooting hormone and placed in your airoponics unit. If you watch root development closely, you'll notice warts appearing on the sides of the stem (almost like the white warts on Amanita muscaria mushrooms). This is perfectly normal and a sign that roots are imminent. Next white roots will begin to grow. You should leave the kratom cutting in the airoponics until a sufficient root ball is made. Roots of about 5 inches long and several of them should be enough. If you remove your kratom cutting too early, you'll shock the plant and it will die.
I would recommend buying kratom plants with developed root structures rather than attempting kratom cuttings. Airoponics systems are only cost effective if you plan on commercially producing plants from your kratom cuttings.

Kratom Resin Extract

I started with 200gms of the stuff. 100gms of super green, and100 red vein maeng da. 2 litres of water, and a half a lemon worth of juice. Boiled ir down until there wad only about a litre left. I stained it, and started over with fresh water using the same kratom. I saved the excess water from the first strain tip be combined with the water from the second strain.

I then boiled down the water until It became tarry. I put It in a Pyrex dish, and stick It in the freezer. This i6s my first stent at a resin. I hope it does the trick.

Extraction and Isolation

Big, young leaves were powdered (165.5 g) and extracted five times with hot methanol. The solvent was concentrated under reduced pressure to give a crude extract (53.5 g), a part of which was dissolved in 10% aqueous acetic acid (AcOH). The insoluble material was removed by filtration through Celite to give the AcOH-insoluble fraction solution (AcOH-insoluble fraction, 50.3 g). The aqueous layer was basified with Na2CO3 at 0°C and extracted with chloroform (CHCl3). The organic layer was washed with water, dried over MgSO4, and then evaporated to give the crude base fraction (2.43 g). The aqueous layer was further extracted with n-Butanol (BuOH), which was concentrated under reduced pressure to yield the n-BuOH fraction (4.77 g). A part of the residual aqueous solution (10 ml) was lyophilized to give a hygroscopic solid (ca. 2 g), which was isolated with ethanol using a Soxhlet extractor in order to remove the inorganic materials. The ethanol extract was evaporated to give a residue containing the water-soluble organic materials (water-soluble fraction, 1.08 g).
The crude base fraction (2.0 g), which exhibited an opioid agonistic effect on the guinea-pig ileum, was purified by SiO2 column chromatography (6 × 17 cm) using CHCl3/ethyl acetate (AcOEt) (9:1, 370 ml; fraction A), CHCl3/AcOEt (4:1, 240 ml; fraction B), CHCl3/AcOEt (1:1, 320 ml; fraction C), AcOEt (80 ml; fraction D), MeOH/AcOEt (1:19, 120 ml; fraction E), MeOH/AcOEt (1:4, 160 ml; fraction F), MeOH/AcOEt (1:1, 80 ml; fraction G), and MeOH (150 ml; fraction H). The combined fractions C and D were further purified by SiO2 column chromatography (3 × 17 cm) using an n-hexane/AcOEt (3:2, 1:1, 1:5, 30 ml each) gradient that afforded 24 fractions. Fractions 2–8 contained mitragynine (1343 mg, 66% based on the crude base, [
α]D24: –126° {c 1.2, CHCl3}) and fractions 18–22 yielded 7-hydroxymitragynine (40 mg, 2% based on the crude base, [α]D23: + 47.9° {c

, 2.5 × 10 cm) with MeOH/CHCl3 (1:9, 3 mL/min) to provide speciociliatine (t: 18 min, 15 mg, 0.8% based on the crude base, [α]0.55, CHCl3}). From fraction E, paynantheine (178 mg, 8.9% based on the crude base, [α]D25: + 29.4° (c 1.2, CHCl3}) was obtained. Fraction F afforded speciogynine (132 mg, 6.6% based on the crude base, [α]D24: + 26.8° (c 0.85, CHCl3}). Fraction G was subjected to MPLC (SiO2RD24: –10.5° (c 1.2, CHCl3}). The isolated compounds were identified by direct comparison with the corresponding authentic samples. The purity (> 99%) of the above compounds was checked by HPLC and 1H-NMR (500 MHz) analyses.

Kratom Tea

I make tea with it. I just heat up a cup of water in the microwave, dump some kratom powder in and add just enough sugar to take away the bitter taste (it does taste like liquid vicodin if you don't use sugar, yuck). I don't bother to filter out the powder when I drink it. I just stir it as I drink it and it goes down fine. I actually like the flavor of it when it's made as a tea. Start with 1 gram and see how that feels. I usually use 2 or 3 grams for mild to moderate pain (it worked great on a bad toothache I had the other day. No pain at all!). It actually works better than hydrocodone or oxycodone for me. I don't think of Kratom as something to get high with just like I don't consider the regular opiates as something to get high with either. I have never had any nausea or other problems and it doesn't seem to be physically addictive or at least not at the dose that I use. I know quite a few people that have used it to break serious opiate addictions without having withdrawl or cravings. It's probably putting a big dent in big pharma pill profits so I don't expect it to be available much longer. Remember that just about every oxy or vicodin pill that is sold on the street was paid for at a pharmacy somewhere. Less addicts mean less profits for big pharma not to mention rehab clinics, law enforcement, etc.

Ingestion Methods

There are various methods of ingesting kratom:
1. Kratom leaf powder can be gel-capped. This is probably the best way for those who find the taste of kratom obnoxious.
2. You can add the powder to chocolate soy-milk or regular chocolate milk and blend it up in a blender to make a kratom milk-shake.
3.You can make kratom tea. This can be done using powder or cruushed leaf, or 'veins and stems'.
4. You can add kratom powder to a cup of room-temperature or refrigerated apple-sauce.
5.You can simply swallow the powder with water (or fruit-juice).
6. Hershey's chocolate syrup can be used as a vehicle to mix kratom powder into. Then spoon this over ice-cream or strawberries and consume at once.
