I know this is an older topic but has anyone here ever dealt with them? Like actually signed up and did their courses and got the card? I ran across them on Social META lol. I am a disabled combat vet with a couple tours to Iraq and other places. Psychedelics are an indispensable tool that has helped me in more ways then the backwards assed chemical pushers ever will. I also understand the for some people psychedelic retreats are cost prohibitively unavailable to many people who could actually use help from them.

Which place are you talking about?

I've heard of https://peyoteway.org/ mentioned on the previous page. As far as I can tell they're legit, haven't found anything to the contrary. I'd love to partake but their scheduling is fairly booked and pretty much the opposite side of the country.

I've seen/heard some good things with https://www.ayahuascachurches.org/ in regards to helping vets with PTSD

I also had https://www.ayaquest.com/ bookmarked, it's in Kentucky but don't recall if I'd looked into them other than the proximity factor.

God bless you brother, thank you for your service and sacrifice. God speed in your quest.

Edit: Also, for those in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area, good news!

I know its a ways away but I have a theory that the increase in cannabis use in North America is literally opening peoples minds to alternative drugs use, especially for therapeutic use.

Its not much but I do try to convince every person who I talk to about their beautiful nature. 9/10 have misconceptions about these powerful teachers. For years myself I really only looked at them like this wicked ass party drug. Now I can see they have the potential for even more. Here's to changing minds slowly but surely friends

But in the meantime yeah, sorry I wish I had some useful input for religious use. I imagine it will be different depending on where you live, state laws ect. In a slightly different direction I wonder what qualifications someone would need to be able to apply to use them for therapy, I would imagine some sort of medical background like psychologist or something.

It is a little bit of a dream of mine to try to help others with psychedelic use if I could make an actual living out of it. To have a space out in the country where folk could come and use them in guided manner, a place designed with sacred geometry and big rocks where a person could go out and sit or lay down on.

It wouldn't even need to make much money at all, I feel like the work would be a big part of the reward itself.

There's a chapter about religious use exceptions in Gary M. Smith's book about the law of psychedelics, Psychedelica Lex.  It's a good book if you are up for the legal discussions.  I don't think you have to be a lawyer to read it, but parts of it are pretty technical.
