I forgot , here are a few of the poppies. I have maybe 6 more in large pots started.

I will get to the communal poppy thread with details.

@ Lakegal , I had a grower suggest the cloth pots to me , it makes sense that they would get more oxygen to the roots.
I know they are popular, maybe I will give them a try. I'm always interested in ways to improve my grow.

I wanted to say growing is fairly easy and a first time grower should be able to do as good as I have or better.
Growing my own is way better than buying. I have had to buy to often.

Growing our own allows us to give away bud to help others and its nice to share.

I wish we had a clone collective here where clones were grown, saved and sold, a person could try different clones to see what they liked best.

I agree Heirloom, clone library type set up would be cool
What I like about growing is having control what I grow, exsparimenting on
different varieties, and like being able to share with others.

I know the cloth pots are good for air circulation, but I've grown good plants in my
ol gardening pots too.

Awesome stuff Heirloom

Very Nice

I have used cloth pots and I am sold on them !!

I did a side by side of the same clones. One in plastic the other in cloth. Same soil same nutrients. Huge difference though in the size of plant and final product.

i recently found some 3 gal felt pots that are more tall and less big around.
Wish I had started out with those.
One thing I like about the clothe pots is you can fold them down if needed. Also
doing low stress training, I can place safety pins easily to anchor my pipe cleaners
Storage is another plus.
What I don't like is when watering, the water can dribble out the sides and make a mess.
This is more of a problem with the 4 gal pots. My drip dishes are too snug.

Crushing it here man.

Nitrogen is a gas, they would have had to include it's fixed compound form. That is why it is excluded from that chart way back in the thread.

Love all the tips and tricks on producing seeds!

I got lucky , I am still learning. Pics of my next grow will show.
I got great advise here that helped me to do well. So in fact my
grow was only good due to you guys, giving me tips, advise.

A pic of the slow maturing OG Kush I have , yet to be picked .
The lower bud are ripe but the top is taking forever. So I bent it
over. I needed to low'rer lights.

If you got a great clone keep it , don't chase after another taste.

I might try "girdling" cutting the lower bark off the stem to cause
rapid maturation and result in gold colored buds.

I am buzzed from my own homegrown , So I am out of here.

Some great cuts from Hash_Man, cloning now.

Thank you so much, the Lemon Thai Pheno will be
enjoyed.

I can't wait to harvest them.

Time to smoke a little medicine.

Ok I am going to show cloning the Gifted OG Kush.

This is a pic of the inexpensive water heater I will use in a 6 quart/
5.7 liter tub. This little heater keeps the water at 80F. Cost $5 maybe
more today.

The water will appear to boil from the air pump. More air/o2 is best.

Roots will appear as fast as 4 days to 10 days, we will see as I post pics.

Thanks again Hash_Man

Ok we got a two hose pump , airline tubing, and two bubble stones.

Cost $15.

Soak the stones for an hour before using.

My tub of tap water a thermometer and a small aquarium heater.

The clones will float on the styrofoam.

A good boil of air will help develope roots quickly and keep the water clean.

Water can be changed every few days to keep clean, however plenty of oxygen will keep the water clean in most cases. Like DWC - Deep Water Culture.

Small plastic tubs will easily do 4 clones like a margarine container. I
would not use a heater in a small tub. These work great ^^.

Water kept in the 70's to 80 F work good.

I use 15-20 watt compact flouroscent to light the clones until they root.

I'll show how they are doing. In a week or so.

I have used several ways to clone if anyone wants to show cloning ,please do so, I welcome any input.

Cool set up?
I like how you placed the air hosing
it anchors it and get the air right where you want it
The pump looks tough.
My last clone, I had to run two pumps
that I combined to a single hose to get
Enough pressure for a good blast of air.
Probably ought to get a new air pump.
Now that I think about it, I used too big of a
tub.. Smaller tubs ( like your set up )
is the way to go

I just stuck the airhose through the Styrofoam and it stays in place, pump about $11
at wal mart. My old pumps just didn't do it, more air is better.

I report this with great sorrow a pack of seeds that did not make it
as you can see.

I have heard of some problems with mail in my area, it was too late to tell anyone. This is minor compared to others problems though. Its gotten scary here right now.

I'll get some pics of plants up soon.
