An update about 3 weeks into flower a lot smaller than the last grow.
I did this to increase the light to the lower plant. I haven't trimmed the lower part of the plants ... yet. I did bend these over to control the height.

I am kind of worried I will get a smaller harvest this time. Well I am
dialing in these clones and this is just part of that learning process.

I could do a scrog with my "M" clone and get a great yield , but I don't
think the og kush will work good on a scrog screen. The og would perform
better in a sog.

My og kush cola still hanging to dry.

That's about it. peace and safety to all.

edit- the male flowers seen in the drying kush bud are from a sex reversed female
in a attempt to make feminized seeds.

Thanks entho , I think they are happy as I am. Lets get rid of these borders so I can share this
with others , just for fun.

Be nice if we could all; get together some day to laugh share stories..ect.

A pick of a fresh bud and one dried , a doobie, and some old pods I used
for tea.

I am expected to share this joint with my mate, second one today.

We have plenty from the last harvest, I should show again. My mate
has access to all she wants, a gram of hash a day is not enough, doob's
from sun up to midnight.

I would of swore I had another pic but can't remember now.

Thanks for asking. here are a few they are doing ok not as big as my last
grow but ok. The last grow had such a strong smell that it was a security risk. My nephew told me he could smell the bag in my pocket when I went to
share a little with him.

Clones and a few tiny poppy.

Looks good Heirloom
Do you run any air scrubbers in your set up?

@ Lakegal , yea I run carbon scrubber's. I have made some and have one I bought.

here is a scrubber with a dirty pre-filter that needs replaced, though it still works, I am embarrassed  but thought I should show one. This does show how it filters and it catches dust ,
smoke,,,ect. I have justified my dirty filter thinking " this will catch even more " on the outside.

I run 3 carbon filters 1 in the grow room , 1 in my box and 1 in my house as an air filter that
is a 475 cfm- cubic per minute .

I have run my inline fans for  around 10 years nearly constant. One probably 15 years straight.

I have activated carbon on hand to replace in case needed. I use pellets but have used crushed .

My home made filters use a 2.5 inch carbon bed in a cylinder.

I replace when needed.

A carbon scrubber can protect a person  a K-9 can go by a grow with a carbon scrubber and not smell it. The voice of experience.

I have 5 gallon bucket of activated carbon., used and new.  The activated carbon can be recycled. That's another topic.

That is quite a set up you are running
I purchased my air scrubber.
Is building one very difficult?
My scrubber comes out of both of my tents
I've a dimmer type switch that controls the air speed
It runs at about half power
It's the one thing I didn't really think about when staring this hobby
but it's just as important as the lights imo
I've seen many schematics where fresh air is sucked in from outside,
Do you run yours that way?
I have an open window behind each tent but have never gone to the effort of
automated air intake.
I will propbley need to get most my plants outside this summer
or cough up some money for an air conditioner.

I have fresh air intakes that draw in heat in winter and cool air in the summer, from another room. I vent out into a room.
I seem tp produce enough carbon dioxide from two of us and 4 dogs to feed the plants plenty of C02.

I have a few PWM = pulse width modulators- electronic speed motor controllers but only use 1 on a shaded pole fan -
AKS squirrel cage fan.

My best controller is a Dayton F4C928 speed controller the other is a dial a temp model widely available.

Building a scrubber is easy. I'll see if I can find pics that explain it visually .

Heres a link to one similar to the ones I build. I recommend 2 - 2.5 inches of activated carbon.

Pantyhose are just for wearing or making hash but carbon scrubbers too.

sorry the pics below are small but they give an idea.

speaking of carbon scrubbers, it is more economical to buy a commercial filter and refill with carbon
when needed.

I agree a speed controller is a useful part of a grow room.

I like to oversize my filter and use a smaller fan, they run quieter.
An example is I have a 475 CFM carbon filter to filter house air but I run a 120 CFM extractor fan.
This runs very quiet , can't hear it 10 feet away but I can feel it.

I think that oversizing the filter allows, filters the air better. The air does not rush through
the carbon bed as fast, the carbon bed is in contact with the air longer so it absorbs more.

I wouldn't think twice about a 3" deep carbon bed, won't cause much air resistance.

I have a door on my flower room and the vacuum created from my filter pulls the door shut.
Can't smell anything until I step into the room or open a grow box.

I have used ozone generators in the past as well as running air from a grow up the chimney.

I keep thinking about those K9s walking around oblivious...
Heirloom, your system sounds perfect
It makes sense using a bigger scrubber than what you need
And keeping the noise down. I'm using a Vivosun 440 cfm 6" .
I've got a few fans pushing air from outside and running in the tents
and they are what make all the noise in the room. The scrubber running at about
half power is whisper quiet.
Those pantyhose sound like they need to be in the same survival tool box along
with duct tape and bailing wire and JB weld ; )
Our home is a one of a kind meaning we built it pay check by paycheck. Not the best insulation in the roof and
No basement to draw cool air from.
I think I will try and idol down and get as much of the girls outside
once it start getting hot

I have had K9 problems in years past and barely escaped. Stories for another time/place.

My mom used to come over often with a nephew who I now grow with and she would tell me she could smell my grow in the street. My nephew told me he wanted to ask me for weed but didn't think I would help him out, now he's 35 y. I started using ozone , up the chimney and finally carbon scrubbers. That was back in the late 1990's early 2000.

I moved to another place.

I lived in a place that had a K9 cop and he walked that dog by my grow several times an never barked.

When I was in the army we use gas mask's that used activated carbon to filter the air - they worked.
A carbon filter is just a giant version of a gas mask.

**** I draw my air in from my house and vent it out into the house, does work good for me.

Air scrubbers are just as important as good lighting
How often do you replace the carbon?

Off subject: I'm thinking of trying to grow a couple plants
the main lining style. I know you usually cut above the third set of
branches and then start training. My plants have a lot of stretch, like 2-3 inches
between branch sets. There is about 6-7 inches of growth above the third set. Do you think
I could top it and clone the top or is that too large to try and clone?
Do you have any exsperience growing this way?
I've got a couple of mystery seed plants that I still don't know the sex of yet. I thought about practicing
on them and cloning the tops.

Another off subject..lighting. too much stretching. I've been wracking my brains on what I should do
Led.s, ceramic lec, or just adding another 300 watt m.h. To add to my exsisting 300 watt m.h.
I'm my bloom tent I have a 400 watt hps. I have a 150 hps I've been using in both tents. When I ran that along with the 400
my harvests were better
I know you have tried many types of lighting, your opinion would be appreciated

The carbon seems to last 9 months maybe a year. I would change when I can smell weed in the exhaust air .

A top will clone great if you want. I don't do a lot of training, I have bent over the top before to get more side growth and it worked great.

As far as the lighting goes, you did better using the 2 lights, so I would do that.

I like metal halides, high pressure sodium , the induction light I am using. I have used fluorescent andid ok but not as good as an hps. I got some leds and have used them they grew me some nice plants but
hashman and others know more about LED's than I do.

Hope that helps.

Thanks man
I guess I won't worry about my scrubber until I start smelling the girls.
Could you direct me to where you purchase your carbon?

I've read it's better to take clones off the bottom of
the plant, but taking the top should work ( I hope )
If I keep it in a proper environment .

I want to try this mainlining training technique out which brought me to asking about cloning
the tops.
Thanks again Heirloom

Lakegal you might look into Scrog its a training method low plant numbers and great yields, the secret to its success is it trains plants on a horizontal screen as can be found in the grow morvis is doing.
