Just wanted to toss a quick note and address the downtime we experienced today.
It would appear as though the server rebooted itself after having nearly ran out of resources. We're still investigating the root cause, but needless to say we were down entirely too long for a silly (hopefully) reason. Once we can determine the root of this issue, and ensure that no foul play was involved, we will begin assessing solutions to prevent this from happening in the future.
We're also working on increasing our available channels in which to communicate if we do have site issues again. For those VIPs that are participating in MycoChat we were able to communicate with them updates as we progressed through this issue. We have also recently created a Facebook group and page which will be made available in due time. These and other means will be available in the future so that we can both extend our reach, but also expand our ability to communicate via some platform in the event of unexpected downtime.
