Tomorrow is the Winter Solstice, December 21st. The shortest day, and the longest night of the year. Yule is the perfect time to let go of what you do not need, what does not help you. Celebrating the return of the new sun, and the light in increase, Kindle the light within.

I share these blessings with you all, and however you Celebrate this time of year, I wish you all love and light and prosperity in the beginning of the full turn of the circle.

Darkness darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep

Darkness darkness, hide my yearning
For the things that cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Toward the things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see

Darkness darkness, long and lonesome
Is the day that brings me here
I have found the edge of sadness
I have known the depth of fear

Darkness darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now now now
Emptiness of right now

Darkness darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep

Darkness darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now now now
Emptiness of right now

Thank you Alder,

It's been a long time since I've heard that song, and it used to be one of my favorites. It took me back to a place that seems happened in another lifetime, another world all together.

I watched the sun rise this morning on my own little stonehenge.

The wall on the East side has rocks I have placed on it, to show the points where the sun rises different times of the year. Today it is over the South wall, but will soon return to the East.

Tonight I will bring candles to the circle, and burn (release) the paper on which I have written the things I would let go, returning them to the earth, and welcome the new beginning of another turn into the light.

Posting that last night was like I was channeling.   I am glad is was liked.  Thank you.

Now the days start getting longer.  But really, we are so darned northern hemisphere-centric.  To the beings on other side, Happy Summer Solstice!
