I have some (3 or 4) Stropharia rugorosa annulata spore prints for those interested in getting any early start to spring for these wonderful edibles, aka Wine Cap mushrooms.  Easy to grow in outside beds. (BTW not my photo just an example of possibilities and I have had some as large as the lady is holding.)  Grow on petri then grain then hardwood chips in jars and then inoculate wood chip beds.  PM me your addys

Do they take to liquid culture? I will eventually get setup for agar but not quite there.

Hi, perhaps you can help me.

I have long wanted this mushroom, but I live in South Africa and it is virtually impossible for me to get a live culture through the mail affordably but spore prints get through easily, but not none of the vendors offer spore prints of this mushroom. I'd be willing to contribute to mail cost, but should just be a normal letter envelope if possible.

Please let me know if you'd be up to send a print to my country, if not I completely understand.

Thank you.

Happy festive season!

I have never done a liquid culture with the stropharia but I would bet it would work.  I would clean it up on agar first to avoid contamination potentially.

Thank you!!

I will share again once I have achieved success with them. I am hoping to make a decent bed for them soon enough so that I might have a flush of them during autumn here. I am also going to try cultivate them in my greenhouse, in bags.

Will be a most fun experiment I have had in a long time! :)
