This recipe is in addition to any current agar recipe you are using. This setup includes lime and tea extract, which covers bases in terms of antibacterial effects.
While this is not a one shot solution to bacteria and yeast, it does cover a very large portion of bacteria and yeast encountered during culture.

This recipe was developed by myself and several other users of another forum, and has been tested on several occasions.

Here I am using the T-agar to salvage King oyster from: Bacillus cereus, random yeast and the green one.

Per 500g boiled water you will need: 12g of tea bags, 4-8g lime (water dependant).

Stew the tea for 4 minutes using a fork, squeezing the bags very hard.
Microwave for 2 minutes, and repeat the whole process again.

Remove the bags and add lime powder up to pH 6.

Silly question, do you mean LIME as in builders or agricultural lime or lime the citrus fruit?

Calcium carbonate "CaCO3" - Lime (agricultural), limestone, chalk, calcite.

Lime plus water also makes a weak usable energy source (CHO).

I drink tea too..............so I am led to another recycling step prior to the compost heap for the tea bags.......................... man we're filthy rich and just need to wake up to the fact.......... IMHO

Beautiful stuff!
