I am back, pfizer 'ed up and with a full body tan, pics not included, I promise.

 

So last year's attempt at germin' out some Cali-Haze beans was mostly a bust.  I got 1 out of 6 to pop.

I called the cute lady at Crop King.  She pointed out the error of my germinating ways.  I promised to do it as per their instructions, and she replaced my seeds.  Now I do not want other people to think this is par for the Crop King course.  I appreciate her giving me a second chance, so here you go you lovely soul.

 

Just before I went to bed, May 15, 2021, I dropped my feminized beans into a saucer of mineral water.  I soaked them for no more than 12 hours.

 

2 days later, May 17, 2021, my outdoor grow of 2021 looks like it is on.  For sure...

 

Now 6 out of 7 beans are in a 12oz cup of Fox Farm Ocean Forest.

 

So, Crop King only stands by their germination technique.  After that, I am on my own.

Fair enough.

I f'ed up last year's grow by soaking the seeds in mineral water expecting them to pop open, but only one did, a week later.

Fem'd seed apparently don't not like this.  12 hour max in the water, then into folded, moistened paper towels inside of a plastic baggie.  Two days later, glory hallelujah, those suckers are pushing out a root.

I should be seeing some sprouts in a few days.

Dipole has learned a new trick.  Sweet.  Get'n ready for Bates Beach.

Well Mr. Sidestreet, I am very honored to have you on board for this cannabis voyage.  I hope I give you a satisfying ride.

 

So as f'ed up a last year's CaliHaze germ was, this years attempt is stellar

 

I am pretty damned pleased with the consistency of the germination.  Look at that, all 6 beams came up within a day of each other.  6 out of 7 beans this time.  I am about to give up on #7.

 

Another thing.  This is an outdoor grow but I put the plants under and LED flood light at night.  Sun keeps the sprouts from stretching.  My indoor grows always had a big stretch problem.  This time I filled the cups to the top with FFOF without fear of a stretch.

 

My girls are positioned to put on a good show.  I will try to be more forthcoming with the pictures.

9 days into veg

 

The girls are looking good.  The big one had a spot of orange that has me a bit concerned.  I sprayed a touch just in case it is spider mite.  Not sure, no damage...  ???

12 Days Vegging

I think I will be moving the 2 big ones into something bigger today or tomorrow.

Whoa! 2 weeks?

I think I need to take notes. Mine are only half that size. But they only got a few hrs of sun in the window sill. They went outside last weekend. Hopefully I can share some decent pics later in the summer.

June 5, flowering 17 days

 

All of the plants are in their first pot.

 

The grow is looking good.  I am also trying to get a crop of Thai Pepper going too.  Cannabis is a good teacher.

Those are some fat leaves there! I would have though Cali-haze to be more sativa leaning, but those scream indica!

2 days ago I bent the girls over to start making colas.

 

 

The new leaves are starting to slim out.  Last years Cali-Haze plant didn't get too skinny looking.

It will be interesting to see how much variation I get in the grow.

 

I am sorry for not checking sooner.  For some reason I am not getting email notifications anymore.  I have not been able to find where those setting are kept in this new Mycotopia rendition.

I finished the grow with 4 good plants.  2 were not so great, so I ditched'em.

I have been smoking them.  Good weed.  I managed not to pick them too late this time.

I have enough inventory that I have decided not to do a grow this year.

This will be the first time.
