I hope you don't mind me posting a pic of one of my outdoor flowers? She's glistening in the sunset! I intend to make my own thread about this little grow when (if) I harvest it. I consider every outdoor plant a risk until it is harvested, there are just too many wild cards (animals, molds and fungi, weather, thieves, LEO) to depend on or declare success until the final product is in my hands. And there's no blue balls worse than a thread that is abandoned due to failure. So I prefer to make the thread only after a project is brought to completion. Unless it is something that I need coached along or help with like my extraction threads. I really hope I get to make a thread about this one too, definitely very interesting with some experimental elements and very little investment. A poor man's grow if you will

I agree! It did take me a couple days though to get my hit size right. :)

It has an awake but calm and floating kind of feel, definitely some squint to your eyes.

Do male plants hermaphrodite too? What I thought was a sprout from the stump of a male plant may actually be a seed that sat unsprouted for months. That is the only explanation I can figure unless males can hermaphrodite and throw female blooms?

It has been an interesting year so far!

Two sisters, one hole..... While it sounds like one of those unseeable moments from the Internet it i's just showing genetic variation. Two sister Romulan x Chetnobyl (plus other genetics) seedlings planted in the same hole, the one in front is almost ripe, the one in back, the pistils are just starting to change. The smell is pretty similar but it has other subtle differences too. The buds are slightly bigger on one, the pistils thicker on the other, they both have purple tinges. If I had cooler weather, I bet they would get some nice purple colors.

OOOH, That's the one that makes those nasty little bud-worms...................

If you are not regularly doing so, I would do a BT treatment in the next day or two.

I'm used to seeing the orange ones that make green caterpillars.

uploads-1-1.jpg

I think this one makes a darker, banded caterpillar with hairs on it's body? They are especially beautiful and frustrating when covered in trichomes. I was spraying BT once a week but am now going w/twice a week. Sunday morning is looking like some good harvest weather.

I'm thinking tomorrow morning is going to be perfect harvest weather for the Chernobyl hybrid F-3.

20210925_091255-1.jpg

I'm letting the Romulan/Chernobyl hybrid sisters go a little longer to bring out some of the Romulan "couch lock", maybe pick one the middle of next week.

Definitely have plans on making fresh/frozen bubble hash with some of the harvest, they smell incredible!

Yesterday was a busy day of harvesting. I pulled the Chernobyl hybrid F-3, got rid of those pesky flowers and harvested some nice hemp fiber. Now to prepare it for retting! ;)

This is perhaps my favorite thing that I've up cycled, it was a wind chime display. It has two levels of tea cup hooks that make hanging trimmed herbs for drying a dream.
