Stumbled upon the subreddit 'lionsmanerecovery' today

To be sure, the tone of the group is mega-hypochondriac, and they don't tolerate any doubters

But, from what their saying, apparently some people have some pretty serious side effects when taking lions mane.

One of the theories being that Erinacene E is a KOR agonist, and produces similar disturbances, but from my understanding, Erinacenes are only found inthe mycellium.

Thoughts?

I've eated so many LM fruits, dehydrated powdered, it's all good.  We all are different tho', so mileage may vary.  I can tell you from real experience that the first time I ate LM they settled my stomach, and my bowel movement was back to normal the next morning.  There is also this feeling of alertness that made me nervous the first time I ate them when the wave or rush came over me.  They are different no doubt, but brain food for sure, and they are wonderful breaded and fried.  I don't know if they have beneficial bacteria or what but I'm telling you, stomach was no longer irritated in under 24hrs.  LM fur Life in my world.   :meditate:

With mushrooms it usually is and with laxative mushrooms it can be unpleasant.
But I don't really know what side effects they're talking about here and with people that are mushroom sensitive or allergic the tiniest bit can get them.

I do know if it's one of those "recovery" situations, the op is right in that some of them just never seem to recover, recovery seems to be their activity and it's always something popular that was on the internet that "they were fooled by because of charlatans!"

And that's pretty much true with any Health Board you're going to have people there that are reading and trying to figure something out or people that are sharing what happened to them......and you're going to have a percentage of people that get off that way?

Not everybody can handle drink or drug, but anybody can have a "validating affliction" and priding in health and strength went away mainstream in the 80s. It is making a comeback slowly

I will say this... that I meant to say months ago, make sure you cook LM thoroughly, I like battered and deep fried, but there are many ways to skin a cat they say.  Undercooked will give you a little bit of stomach discomfort, minimal but present, nonetheless.  Be safe yawl, especially out there in forage land (good thing LM varieties are easy to indentify)   :meditate:

I too stumbled across this sub reddit, and my take is...

These are people, who are like you said, are leaning towards the hypochondriac type of personality, and as such, are also probably taking a metric F-ton of other supplements to treat their various ailments. They only drink water that is filtered to near purity, and is only acceptable if it lies on the basic side of the pH scale. They swill colloidal sliver to the point of looking like smurfs, and obsess on their "leaky gut." Knowing they are only one more alternative medicine away from achieving perfect health. But only if they gnash their specific crystals together, in such a way as to please the universe.

Of course they askew modern medicine, and think that doctors with their years of schooling, are only out to make people sick, because of some depopulation conspiracy.

Speaking of conspiracy, they think 5G is the devil, cooked up by the Rockefeller's to spread the "plandemic," and control your higher vibration, in the attempt of the total subordination of the human race. So they know it is their duty to patrol, and preach in the check out lines of the Whole Foods so that they may enlighten the sheeple, to this arcane knowledge that only they, and like minded, Trump supporting Youtube gurus are privy to, so that they may set us all free.

All kidding aside, barring an allergic reaction, this is total bullshit.

I know my kidding here has pissed off at least some of you folks. But you know what? I don't care, y'all need to source better information and realize that consensus reality is the consensus for a reason. You don't take your broken down vehicle to a dentist, and you don't take your oral health problems to a mechanic. You need to look within to find the source of your mistrust of the professionals that dedicate their lives to the better understanding of the world around us. You, nor your Youtube guru, have spent the time and energy necessary to understand the complexities of any individual topic. You need to learn to trust the folks dedicated to furthering our collective knowledge.

Or. . . Don't. . . and live your life thinking that the world is out to get you.

This message has been brought to you by beer, and three years of trying to have an open mind and heart, because sometimes you fall madly in love with a crazy person.
