materials needed:
colonized grain,
pasteurized or unpasteurized substrate,
shovel and manure fork (makes it easy to break up hard soil), or tiller,
cardboard,
4 landscape timbers,
roll of weed blocker fabric,
roll of 4 foot wide chicken wire with small enough holes that rodents cant get in,
stapler,
staples,
steaks,
mothballs,
joints

lay out your landscape timbers

staple weed blocker to the landscape timbers
staple chicken wire down, if you have 2 foot and 4 foot vars,
put the 4 foot on the bottom so if it sags you dont get a gap.
run steaks through holes in chicken wire to help hold it together

spread mothballs
smoke joints

Spawn was rye and wbs
Sub was hpoo and straw

what you growing ? whats your climate like ?
details please

A clone of albino A+ was taken onto agar, a sector was isolated
and thrown into a WBS jar prepared freaky style. That jar was g2gd
into 22 more quarts, which is what this bed was made with.
Night time temps are in the 60s, and daytime are in the 80s.

Here is one of mine. I have five or six so far. I don't count I just remember where I left off at the fence line. I went into the archives and it was discussed about oak leaves creating a micro climate to when the sun comes up that's what I am going to do. All of mine has just been cpoo and shit I was gonna throw out anyway.
All that white stuff is B+ mycelium. I went out the next day and when I pulled the same layer of coir that I pulled back to take the photo had already started to be colonized. So I'm not going to touch until I'm picking fruit.

The same labeling mistake that occured in my outdoor AA+ clone tubs thread happened here :(

I will be making grain for another bed tomorrow though, and this is WELL labeled and no mistaking it!

In the meantime, here's some Z shots from another patch-

this is probably the most complete idea for how to build an outdoor mushroom bed on the site

I would debate that personally but I agree it is cool.................Waylit, Hyphae, Myc, and others are GREAT sources of information as well. Adding this information to the vaults is a good idea though.

I've seen a couple of them in the vaults from a few years ago. I think one of them was at the time when there was still confusion about the difference between p. ovoideocystidiata and p. caerulipes calling both "bluefoot". If I remember correctly circular rings were used to confine the "beds". I will have to look when I have the time to get lost in the woodlover wormhole.......................
