Beautiful place to be and sometimes I find cubes in grassy areas where powdered manure is spread into grass by Thai landscapers.  A few colorful images and a few shroomy shrooms.

Hi there Roc.  I have no idea b ut i am kinda pissed at Erowid, They promised me that they would be glad to host my website for at least 20 years and this is the first time it has been down in 22 years, except the two months that Shroomery hijacked my old site at .com and I had to rename it for . org.  I have sent them half a dozen messages at Facebook and wrote two letters to them and no answer form either Fire or from Erth.  And I have received over 100 emails asking me where ismy site.  Really a friggin shame.  Just goes to show that I can not rely on others who make promises to me. Over the years Iahve had some bad shit from people who made promises. Y than for one, and even my pals at Shroom Talk when the last issue of Shroom talk never came out, although they did print the cover up with my  Amsterdam article was suppose to be there.  But Heads published it as their last issue, an online issue only though,

 

Now I am working hard to get issue X of my journal out. Only waiting on Andrew Weil to respond to a request to print a pers Letter inmy  ;latest issue.  So far over 268 pages.  Vol. XI for this summer will be over 500 pages and I still have not added aby photos.  That one is a monster issue and probably my last published piece, except for one short article I am writing on the widespread distribution of Psilocybe samuiensis from Burma to Cambodia and from Koh Samui in the south of Thailand 9 degrees notrth of the Equator)  to more than 200 kilmiters north into southern Hunan Province of China.  That is what I call a widespread distribution.

Hi Roc. My site was hosted as of Octoberlast year by Erowid who said they could host iot for at least 20 years. Then I got about over 100 emails telling me my site is down.  I have tried to cntatct both Fire and Earh and they have not responded to me whatsoever. I am very angry at them for this lack of communicatation. I have a whole lot of new Shroom infor.  as for my site, I have no way to send ot change items on those HTML pages of my site. Erowid was unable to get the complete updated site from my old hose, Top Class Host in the UK.They went out of business since last September. I tried to get the people to send me a disc of the pages but they also never respobnded.

 

I have no idea. i asked friends of mine who are also friends of Erowid, "Where is my site?" and I get no answer from anyone.

After doing a deep dive on the internet a lot of the info is from your posts either on the shroomery 10-15 years ago or here mycotopia 10+ years ago. It is clear that you have a wealth of knowledge on this topic and you have shared this with us over the years. 

In many of those posts you have pictures that are not loading and cannot be viewed (because of broken hyperlinks???). I have tried to go to your website for more info but that is also down. 
 

It would be a shame that this knowledge is lost because your website cannot be hosted. It would be a loss for us all...

Anyways I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for your efforts over the years/decades for investigating and cataloging all this information. Much appreciated!

HEllo Butterbean,  about my Shroomery problem.  Years ago in the early2000s, I was flamed and bullied by a group of punks, some in the 30s and 40s, followed by 2-3 dozen assholes who began rumors that I went to Thailand and Cambodia to have sex with, first yourg girls and then young boys. (that was in 2007).  

 

Years earlier I had reposred a quote from someone at the Shroomery who posted a website's daily count down of When the Olsen Twins would be 18.  That started a bunch of shit and it was aimed at me.  I had earlier posted a photo of me in bed with two girls. Their ages were 26 and 29.  A yonng shroom grower had hassled  me over posting a package I sent to him three times at an address that he ho longer was at.  This is common when people orger mushrooms or grow kits and give a phony address for their mail to arrive.  Camel became really angry when I posted a package of spore prints to that address because I posted the package to show him the mailman put not here,No Forwarding Address.  I did that because I sent that package back two more times and it was returned to me each time.  

 

Then Camel said I had sent that to an old address of his.  He then began hassling me with his friends that I had posted a picture of me with two young girls who looked like 13.  later he changed it to they must have been at least 15.  Years later he appologized to me about that matter and by then, there were dozens of people referring to me as a pedophile.  

 

Eventually, Ythan, the owner of the Shroomery put up a rule that anyone who made such false claims or accusations would be banned from the site.

 

So everything was fine until August of 2007,  At that time I was a moderator in the Mushroom Hunting forum at the Shroomery.   I had close to 13,000 posts in a 10 year period.  What is strange is that there were members at the Shroomery in the Pub and in the OTD Discussion group who had 12,000 to 40,000 posts.   Mostly useless members who caused all kinds of BS.  Ythan really had no control of those people at all.

 

One day in August of 2007, s9omeone at the Shroomery posted a gif avatar of a human fucking a dog.  I complakined that such an avatar was not cool for the Mushroom Hunitng forum.  All of a sudden, several people came into the frey and said, "well John, you take people to Thailand to have sex with little Girls..  One of those who began a lot of the pedophile was named Em-Bry-o.  He in many posts claimed he had photos of me to prove it in his safe.  However, in a one month perriod, he refuse to show what he really did not have because I never ever had sex with a minor in Thialand or elsewhere.

 

And before long, dozens of people from the OTD and the newly formed group, The Pub, began to make phony photos of me having sex with young Thail men.  I have never been to a porno site and would never go to one to began witn.  I had a friend who opened one up one time in 1999 and he got massive porno popping up automatically on his screen.  Took a lab technician at the UW';s Computer Science Dept over 7  hours to get the porno to stop controlling my friend's lab top. 

 

So they were making many images of me with Young Thai. I thought those punks were gross  because they apparenlty knew how or where to look at porn.  One website had a wanted poster posted of me with my picturte from the Shroomery on it with a $15,000 dollar reward for informaion or conviction of me for pedophilia.

 

By then I had had it.  And if you go to the search engines at the Shroomery you can type in John Allen, mjshroomer,. mushroom john, etc and you will find hundreds of posts, threads and comments about the shit everyone said about me in the month of August and September., through November when Thor of the Shroomery waited, 5 minutes before my domain name expired as I was about to renew the Dot Com addy for my site, he went in and bought it for the Shroomery.

 

However, before then, Ythan had refirected my website at mushroomjohn dot com to open up at the Shroomery instead of my site.  That was an illegal cyber theft of my copyrighted materials

 

But in August of 2007, after seeing dozens of phony photoshopped images of me with young Thai men in sexual positions taken from my photos that were on the Shroomery, I decided to delete every one of my more that 13,000 photogfraphs from the Shroomery site.

 

However, before I did that I saw the titles of some of the threads that read 
"How do I find a photo of mushroom john?" oe something similar to that.  "How do I phone Mushroom John?"  

This told me that these were dumbass teenagers because anyone could of typed in Images of John Allen, or Images of John W. Allen or even Images of Mushroom John into the Yahoo search engine or into the Google Search Engine and found hundreds of photos of me to make their phony picutures.

 

So I deleted all my photos because in my mind, I felt that the site did not deserve to have my photos on their site anymore.  What was strange about that is that over the next several years, friends of mine at the Shroomery made cd's of all the threads that slandered me over the next 3-4 years. I was also sent about 30 or more pages of the use of the "N" word by shroomery members, all of which were in a hateful or racist manner.

 

And even after I had removed them, many still talked about me in a negative manner and posted that I had removed all my posts from the Shroomery.  However, that is not true. All my posts of everyone I made and every thread I shared there are still there. The only thing missing are my photos of shrooms and others that I posted over a 10 year period.

 

Ythan had promised me years earlier that he would not allow anyone to falsely accuse anyone of such shit and then I was sent a phono that he himself made of me with a thai boy bentover me in the lab at Chulalongkorn University where I worked in Thialand with my colleagues as if he was giving me a blow job.   Yes. and years later, I may post the letter here from Ythan, he contacted me to ask how we could resolve our differences.

 

I did not reply because I do not like him.

 

I acutally went tot he FBI because when someone makes such accusations when you are innnocent you defend yourself. So then I was labeled a snitch.

 

In August of 2007, I had not been back to the Shroomery but sometimes people tell me what is going on there and recently about 2 years ago, people were still posting there that I was a known pedo.

 

Anyway,my next thread here is a web archive URL to my site. And anyone her eis welcome to go to the site and see what is there.  I do not know who posted this on the Internet but it is okay with me.  It is not the one I fixed in 2018 when I removed over 4000 images and articles due to space.  But Erowid last November told me they would host my site for at least 20 years because of all the contributions I made to Erowid and to the shroom community.  There is a lot more to this story but I have refreained from speaking of it for some time.  I did post on Facebook  the original photos of me with two girls,whonm I said were 26 and 29.  Around 2014 or so, Camel apologized and said to me that he may have over stated the age of the girls. I have that email.  Anyway, I wanted Facebook to know about the shit I went through.  I should have sued them for the bullying and if anyone does it now, and it is brought to my attention and I get a copy of that sent to me, then maybe I will take them to court.

 

The Shroomery was my host and I paid in a U.S,. Bank of America check on my account, a $50 dollar cost for a five year owned Domain Name to Thor. He put that name in the title to the Shroomery which he should not have done.  Then Andy Letcher's book, Shrooms came out and in the Book Andy accidentally listed my site as dot org. so I changed my websites URL to dot org. Andy mentioned my sites URL two times in his book.
